Small Stone #16 (aros)

Their skins are creamy yellow
freckled brown
seemingly perfect

I should have known
absent of smell
they are short
sharp, green
on my tongue.

Haven't had a 
good banana 
since Costa Rica
where every banana
was perfection.

Tomorrow I will eat 
an apple instead.
